A Broad, Balanced and Challenging Curriculum

Our curriculum for Years 3-6 is designed to build on your son’s natural curiosity and progressively introduce him to a rich and challenging academic program. We are proud to offer a broad, unique curriculum that is based on the National Curriculum and the ISEB Common Entrance curriculum.

Core Subjects

Boys are taught by specialist teachers for core subjects, across mathematics, science and English ensuring a high level of expertise.

Languages

We believe in a truly well-rounded education and introduce boys to languages from a young age, including French and Latin.

Technology

Our curriculum includes computing, ensuring boys develop critical thinking and digital confidence in a rapidly changing world.

The Arts

Art, DTE (Design, Technology & Engineering) music, and drama are taught as curricular subjects, providing every boy with a chance to explore his creativity and build confidence on the stage.

Sporting Excellence

Sport is a key part of Prep School life. We offer between up to 15 different sports , and our competitive teams play in major sports from Year 3, providing a strong foundation in teamwork, discipline, and healthy competition.

Music & Performance

We have a strong musical tradition, with three choirs, an orchestra, and several instrument ensembles that give every boy the chance to perform and learn. About two thirds of our boys take extra-curricular instrument lessons from Year 3 and all boys are involved heavily in prestigious music concerts.

Clubs & Societies

From academic clubs to creative pursuits, we offer a wide variety of after-school clubs for our Prep School boys, providing opportunities to explore their interests outside of the classroom. Our Chess club offering is well renowned for it’s high level achievements competing and national level.
