A Purposeful and Progressive Curriculum
Our curriculum for Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 is designed to build on your son’s natural curiosity and progressively introduce him to formal learning in a stimulating way. It is broad and balanced, blending the core subjects with a wide range of specialist teaching and enriching activities. Literacy
We use a systematic phonics approach to build a foundation for confident reading and writing. We focus on a love of reading through a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction texts, and we nurture creativity through daily writing and storytelling exercises.
Numeracy

A Typical Day
Our Pre-Prep day begins at 8:15 a.m., with a focus on engaging, cross-curricular lessons that are broken up with breaks for snacks and play. A nutritious lunch is provided in the dining room, followed by more time for outdoor play in a dedicated outdoor areas.
Outdoor Learning
Our extensive grounds are a playground for discovery. We take full advantage of our fields and outdoor spaces, as well as the nature reserve, where boys can explore the natural environment, develop their physical skills, and learn through independent play.
Co-curricular Activities
We offer a variety of after-school clubs for boys of all ages, providing opportunities to explore their interests outside of the classroom and build new friendships.
Wraparound Care from 7:30am to 6.00pm
We understand that modern family life requires flexibility, and we are committed to providing a supportive, safe environment for your son beyond the regular school day. Our wraparound care program ensures that you have peace of mind knowing your child is well-cared for, engaged, and happy before and after the school day begins. This service includes both a breakfast club and a late-room facility for after-school care and is a key factor for families with specific logistical needs.
