Welcome to St. Martin’s, a private preparatory school for around 400 boys situated on the beautiful grounds of Northwood. Proudly independent for over one hundred years, we are a preparatory school in the widest sense.

Our boys are lively and curious; they love learning and they love their school. Our aim is to equip them with the skills and attitudes that will enable them to become successful and happy in what they choose to do.

We are a warm and welcoming community with a distinct family atmosphere where each boy is valued and encouraged to be the very best they can be. We believe our boys are ‘better prepared’ for all that lies ahead in their learning journey and in their individual lives. Nursery & Pre-Prep (Ages 3-7)

Our youngest boys are nurtured in a happy, caring and engaging environment where they learn to be curious, make new friends, develop a strong academic foundation and explore with confidence.

Prep (Ages 7–11)

Boys build independence, resilience and curiosity through a broad curriculum and specialist teaching, while developing pride in their achievements both in and beyond the classroom.

Senior Prep (Ages 11–13)

Our oldest boys are prepared for senior school with academic ambition, leadership opportunities and co-curricular experiences, equipping them to thrive in the next stage of their education.
