We upgrade hardware and software regularly, trying successfully we believe, to keep up with this fast moving environment. The software available is tailored to meet the requirements of the different age groups in the School. There are 70 computers on our academic network and 26 interactive Smartboards connected to this network. ICT is taught as a subject in its own right but all subjects have their own specific software packages which have been brought in to enhance the learning experience in the classroom. In addition to this, the children are regularly brought into the ICT room by their subject teachers to further develop skills in that particular subject.
Information Technology and computers is now an integral part of our day to day lives. With this is mind it is vital that our boys become confident and comfortable in their use of ICT. We know our boys enjoy using ICT and they apply their skills with enthusiasm to tackle relevant and worthwhile problems. We go beyond the traditional "office" type usage and even design websites with Dreamweaver, entering the annual TES Newsday International Challenge after the Year 8 final examinations.
