Life Studies (formerly known as PSCHEE – Personal Social Citizenship Health Economic Education) forms an integral part of life at St Martin’s. Its aim is to involve pupils, teachers and support staff, as well as parents and governors and members of the local community. Life Studies provides an opportunity for children to develop both socially and emotionally so they are able to deal with and manage the daily demands of life in order to equip them ‘for the best start in life’.

At St Martin’s we believe that every child should have access to opportunities for improving their social and personal skills that help them to flourish both as individuals and members of a family as well as being part of their social and economic communities.
We have created a carefully planned programme of work that helps and supports them in informed decision making about their lives and the world in which they live, in a controlled and safe environment, where their ideas and opinions will be valued.
