After winning silver in the Under 12 Badminton England competition held at Milton Keynes in July, 9 year old Sonish became England Number 1 at Under 11 following his gold medal performances at singles and doubles in the August competitions. In the National Tournaments Sonish won a bronze medal in the Under 11 singles and Gold in the Under 11 doubles. A talent for the future and who knows he could be representing Great Britain in the 2024 or 2028 Olympics. That is his ambition! He fully deserves his coveted Gold Star for his achievements.
Sonish said ‘I love playing badminton especially against the older boys. I particularly enjoy playing with my older brother Kishan.’ Kishan is placed 4th in the England Under 15 rankings. A talented family.Return to news
