On Friday 12th February St Martin’s celebrated a Murder Mystery Day with pupils in Years 5 – 8. Five teachers dressed up as suspects, including the headmaster, David Tidmarsh. The mystery took place in mid summer at Mangle Manor near Stonehenge.
All of the pupils at St Martin’s School in Years 5 – 8 looked through some background information sheets on each of the suspects, which included their location and favourite expressions (proverbs.) Each year group had the opportunity to question the suspects individually and collectively, against a backdrop of the rooms in the manor house, in order to solve the crime. The results will be presented in assembly next half term.
The boys thoroughly enjoyed examining the information and searching for clues and contradictions. The suspects also gave highly entertaining performances.
Mr Tidmarsh said, “The boys enjoyed the opportunity to use their detective skills.”Return to news
