St Martin’s Prep School in Northwood has been recognised by the Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) for its work in providing junior school children opportunities to play football. St Martin’s is one of only 10 Junior Hub Schools in the country. It has already hosted two very successful football festivals back in September. The school will be organising future festivals, competitions and teacher INSET courses, as part of their commitment to increasing provision for football in Middlesex and Hertfordshire.
Since the inception of the Junior Hub School Programme over 1000 children, across the ten Hub Schools, have participated in a series of events. ISFA representative Ian Bent commented on the professionalism of each football festival and that ISFA expect participation to grow significantly each year because of this.
