St Martin’s School welcomed back a former pupil at an assembly which aimed to raise awareness about the Peace Hospice in Watford. The school, for boys aged 3-13, pledged its support to the hospice by holding a recent clothing collection.
Peace Hospice Care Director of Trading, Steve Rose, said ‘We were amazed and delighted with the generosity of the school and parents as we received over 100 bags of good quality donations, which will raise over £2,000 towards funding our patient care.
We need to raise over £4 million in charitable income every year so that our patients and their families facing a life limiting illness can get the vital support they need. All our services are free.
We could not continue without the wonderful support of organisations such as St Martin’s School.”
Mrs Wood, who organized the event, said “We were delighted by the response from the parents and boys at the school and hope to hold further collections throughout the year.”Return to news
