Seven pupils from St. Martin’s School in Northwood have had their animal poems chosen for publication in a poetry anthology to celebrate the Born Free Foundation’s 30th anniversary.
A winners’ ceremony which will be taking place at the end of the year where the organisers will announce all of the chosen poems as well as the winner, runner up and highly commended entries from each year group. Virginia McKenna along with a number of the judges will also be in attendance to congratulate the winners personally.

The winning entries were written by the boys in Year 6: A Glint of an Eye by Sophien Amrani, Cool Cockatoo by Rohan Kothari, Elephant Rampage by Tej Shah, Prey or Preyed by Vivek Nair, The King of the Savannah by Aman Mavani, The Phantom of the Night by Adam Amrani and Forest Symphony by Seren Grant.
